A PLACE BENEATH THE SURFACE is officially selected for the 10th Cambodia International Film Festival. The festival is taking place from the 13th until the 22nd of March 2020 in Phnom Penh where the film will have its world premiere. A PLACE BENEATH THE SURFACE will be shown within the Documentary slot “Glimpses of Cambodia” at the Bophana Center.

For his “outstanding” thesis project the Bauhaus University Weimar honoured Leef Hansen and his film A PLACE BENEATH THE SURFACE. The grant ceremony took place at the Oberlichtsaal at the historical main building at the Bauhaus in Weimar.
The Film is a Co-Production together with Julia Wichmann.
